Platform Engineer (DevOps / DataOps)

About the role

We are seeking a Platform Engineer (DevOps / DataOps) to design, automate and operate Continental’s enterprise data and AI platform. The role will create a secure, scalable, self‑service cloud environment that enables data engineers, scientists and application teams to deliver value quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code and policy as code using Terraform.
• Develop reusable platform services and self‑service capabilities for engineering teams.
• Automate provisioning, configuration and lifecycle management of cloud resources.
• Define platform automation standards and engineering guardrails.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform and application deployments.
• Implement monitoring, observability, alerting and operational dashboards.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in platform, DevOps, cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with fluent English.

Required skills

• Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Microsoft Azure (preferred) or Amazon Web Services.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Git‑based development workflows.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity management and cloud operations.
• Familiarity with lakehouse technologies such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake (a plus).
