PK Laboratory Technician

About the role

The PK Laboratory Technician is responsible for managing biological samples in Phase I clinical trials, ensuring their correct processing, storage, and shipment. The role supports pharmacokinetic (PK), pharmacodynamic (PD) and other sample workflows while complying with study protocols and laboratory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with clinical trial procedures and laboratory SOPs.
• Protect patient confidentiality and study protocol integrity.
• Order, receive, register, and store sample collection kits.
• Prepare, process, label, store and ship PK, PD and other biological samples according to protocol.
• Maintain accurate sample and kit databases and organize the PK laboratory.
• Participate in training activities and follow unit SOPs.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training Diploma in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a laboratory environment handling biological samples.
• Experience in clinical trials is an advantage.
• Intermediate English and advanced Portuguese.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
