Piping Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Piping Design Engineer to join our global engineering team. You will play a key part in delivering innovative piping solutions for data‑centre liquid‑cooling applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support the company’s global engineering strategy and develop tailored design solutions for cloud‑based environments.
• Drive the design and engineering of integrated piping systems, producing 3D models, PDFs, and layout drawings.
• Perform pipe stress analysis to verify system integrity under varying operating conditions.
• Specify materials, components, and fittings, and prepare BOMs, specifications, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with commercial, technical, project management, manufacturing, and other internal teams to create conceptual designs and present them to customers.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting phases.
• Contribute to cost estimation and ensure designs stay within budget and schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Building Services, Design Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in piping design and engineering, preferably in data‑centre, construction, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or oil & gas environments.
• Proven ability to develop new products from concept through prototype to production.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D modelling and piping design software (SolidWorks, Onshape, PDMS, SP3D, CADWorx, Plant3D, Revit, AutoCAD).
• Experience with pipe stress analysis tools such as CAESAR II.
• Strong knowledge of piping instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and ability to read, interpret, and modify them.
• Familiarity with industry codes, standards, manufacturing processes, materials, and quality‑control protocols.
