Pharmacist Supervisor (Call Center Operations)

About the role

Optum is seeking a Pharmacist Supervisor to lead a team of clinical and non‑clinical staff within a high‑volume call‑center environment. The role blends team leadership with direct clinical duties, ensuring members receive comprehensive medication reviews and adherence support.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a team of pharmacists, technicians, and customer service representatives to meet productivity, quality, and compliance targets.
• Assist the Operations Manager with program execution, project coordination, and operational initiatives.
• Monitor performance metrics such as consult volume, productivity, quality, and adherence, providing regular feedback and improvement plans.
• Support day‑to‑day call‑center workflows, ensuring efficient processes and adherence to HIPAA and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align on program goals and client expectations.
• Analyze data trends to drive process improvements and support decision‑making.
• Handle escalated member issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Perform telephonic medication reviews and adherence outreach.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in a call‑center or clinical operations setting.
• Proven supervisory experience, including coaching, performance evaluation, and team development.
• Ability to work rotating shifts between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM CST, Monday‑Friday, with flexibility for occasional outside‑hours support.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and pharmacy compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
