Operations Director

About the role

The Operations Director is responsible for managing facilities to reduce operating costs, increase revenue, and exceed customer expectations. This senior position supports the VP of Operations and collaborates with senior staff to drive long‑range planning and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s footprint.
• Develop and execute long‑range plans, forecasting revenue and capital expenditures.
• Lead and motivate facility staff, ensuring high morale and disciplined performance.
• Coordinate with senior leadership to set policies, improve efficiency, and share resources across sites.
• Conduct site familiarisation visits and follow‑up with customers to win new business.
• Review pricing structures for current and prospective customers.
• Implement continuous productivity and cost‑reduction programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum four years of experience in a high‑volume electronic manufacturing‑services environment.
• Proven track record in change management and customer relationship development.
• Experience managing personnel and fostering team development.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations.
• Financial analysis and business analytics expertise.
• Understanding of international direct and indirect taxes and customs regimes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
