OFCI Package Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

We are seeking an OFCI Package Manager to lead Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed equipment packages on a data centre construction project in Sines, Portugal. The role serves as the primary technical and process lead, acting as the main liaison between client‑appointed vendors and internal project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical and process management of all OFCI equipment packages, coordinating between vendors, clients, and project teams.
• Manage the OFCI team to ensure engineering, coordination, and execution meet project specifications, schedule, and quality standards.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of OFCI packages—from procurement through delivery, installation, and commissioning—ensuring seamless integration with the overall construction programme.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning, and commissioning teams to align activities and support smooth project delivery.
• Conduct regular coordination meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication.
• Track and report OFCI progress, identify risks, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical oversight to prevent or resolve contractual and operational disputes.
• Verify that all vendor‑supplied equipment complies with technical, safety, and quality standards before installation.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, data security, and project compliance at all times.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience with an M&E contractor, preferably on mission‑critical or large‑scale projects.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects from design through commissioning.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, negotiation, and decision‑making abilities.
