Network Security Engineer – Banking Sector

About the role

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our Network Security Operations team in the banking sector. The role focuses on maintaining firewall and micro‑segmentation infrastructure while driving automation and advanced security practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily management, maintenance and troubleshooting of enterprise firewalls, WAFs and proxy systems.
• Design, deploy and enforce zero‑trust micro‑segmentation policies within VMware virtualised environments.
• Automate security policy updates by consuming and interacting with infrastructure REST APIs.
• Act as a high‑level escalation point for complex security incidents, performance bottlenecks and scheduled changes.
• Collaborate with Cloud/DevOps teams and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of hands‑on experience with VMware NSX and/or VSF9 micro‑segmentation solutions.
• Proven experience integrating and automating with NSX or VSF9 APIs.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs and modern security architecture.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
