Mobile Application Developer – Android (Kotlin)

About the role

BJAK is expanding its AI‑powered Neobank platform and needs an Android engineer to create a seamless, high‑performance mobile experience for millions of users across Southeast Asia. You will work closely with product and design teams to turn complex financial services into intuitive mobile flows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship Android features using Kotlin.
• Create clean user flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and other financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design to simplify complex journeys.
• Integrate backend REST APIs and ensure stability, security and reliability.
• Improve app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage.
• Leverage analytics and production data to continuously refine the product.
• Build AI‑assisted mobile experiences where they add genuine value.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Strong fundamentals and a track record of shipping production apps.
• Deep knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture.
• Excellent sense of mobile UX, usability, edge cases and user flows.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging production issues.
• High ownership, fast execution and strong attention to product quality.
