Mid Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Hybrid in Porto

About the role

KCS IT is seeking a motivated Mid Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Porto team. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week on‑site, and focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our micro‑service based applications.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across production environments.
• Operationalize micro‑services by improving logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to design resilient architectures.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and proactively identify potential failures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of SRE processes and tooling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in application support or site reliability engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Retail experience is a plus.
