Mid-level DevOps Engineer – Hybrid (Porto, Portugal)

About the role

KCS IT is seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our hybrid team in Porto. You will work on diverse client projects, helping to design, automate, and maintain cloud‑based infrastructure while ensuring reliable software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker and, when required, Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate version control (Git) and branching strategies.
• Monitor, log and set up alerting for cloud environments on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in Linux‑based systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Docker containerization.
• Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code.
• Git version control.
• Scripting with Bash, PowerShell or Python.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Linux system administration.
