Medical Monitor – Gastroenterology

About the role

PSI, a global Contract Research Organization, is seeking an experienced Medical Monitor specialized in Gastroenterology. You will join an international medical monitoring team, providing expert medical input to clinical studies and ensuring patient safety throughout the trial lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary medical contact for internal project teams, study sites, and sponsors, addressing protocol‑driven and GCP‑compliant matters.
• Advise clients, regulatory agencies, and third‑party vendors on medical issues and safety concerns.
• Collaborate on the preparation of clinical development plans, protocols, investigator brochures, and scientific presentations.
• Review and analyze clinical data to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved protocols.
• Identify safety signals, support pharmacovigilance activities, and develop risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Participate in bid defenses, proposal development, and organize advisory or safety monitoring boards.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor degree with a Gastroenterology fellowship certification.
• Minimum 10 years of practice as an MD; clinical trial or research experience is a plus.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.
• Team‑oriented, detail‑focused problem‑solver.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
