Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Hovione is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliable operation of all mechanical equipment and installations across its site. The role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated, multi‑disciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, service, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment according to SOPs and work instructions.
• Participate in risk assessments for work permits and ensure safe execution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives within the maintenance area.
• Support Quality Assurance and HSE programs by implementing corrective actions promptly.
• Assist in training junior maintenance staff and ensure proper documentation of all activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of equipment, work areas, and documentation.

Required profile

• Full secondary school qualification (mandatory) with a vocational qualification highly desirable.
• Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or food industry environments.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical drawings.
• Numerical capability for simple arithmetic and willingness to work shift patterns.
• Computer literacy.
