Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Production Support

About the role

Join Bosch Group in Braga as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer supporting production lines. You will work on root‑cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse production issues, propose and implement containment and corrective measures.
• Develop and present solution concepts, process changes or material alternatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in mechanics, pneumatics and analogue/digital electronics.
• Design components applying DFA (Design for Assembly) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.
• Perform functional analysis of devices during approval phases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams to enhance production response.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in preventive or intervention mechanical maintenance (preferred).
• Ability to work rotating shifts, travel when needed and handle pressure.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, speaking, writing).

Required skills

• CAD/CAM knowledge.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Mechanical design, materials and technology expertise.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, FMEA, RCM and TPM tools.
• Knowledge of industrial environments, production processes, mechanics, pneumatics and analogue/digital electronics.
