Mechanical Engineer

About the role

CSA Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC, plumbing and piping systems for commercial projects. The role involves creating design documentation, performing load calculations, and collaborating with clients and construction teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing and piping projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Prepare design documents for permitting, bidding and construction phases.
• Conduct site surveys and field measurements of existing conditions.
• Perform cooling and heating load calculations with Trane Trace software.
• Write technical reports on HVAC system designs.
• Participate in client meetings during design and construction stages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10‑15 years of HVAC design experience.
• Engineer‑In‑Training or Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Interest in AI, data‑driven design and ethical AI adoption.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of Trane Trace 700 or Trace 3D Plus for load calculations.
