Mechanical Engineer – Environmental Test Chambers

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the mechanical assemblies of our high‑performance environmental test chambers. You will work from concept through to commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver custom solutions for research institutions and industry worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for climatic chambers using 3D and 2D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and design specifications.
• Lead R&D projects that integrate mechanical, thermal and fluid systems.
• Coordinate with factory, sales and other engineering departments to meet customer requirements.
• Oversee project implementation, ensuring functional, dimensional and quality compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial equipment or engineered‑to‑order environments.
• Proactive ownership mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Hands‑on attitude, comfortable working on machines as well as in design.
• Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (3D and 2D CAD).
• CAM, FEA or other simulation tools.
• Knowledge of sheet‑metal fabrication, welding, machining and assembly processes.
• Materials selection, structural design and thermal‑insulation principles.
