Mechanical CAD Designer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical CAD Designer to join our engineering team in Lisbon. The role involves creating high‑quality 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore and subsea projects, working closely with multidisciplinary engineers and supporting the full project lifecycle from design to installation.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models that meet engineering requirements, project specifications, and company standards.
• Collaborate with project engineers and multidisciplinary teams to translate concepts into practical design deliverables.
• Support engineering studies, technical reviews, constructability assessments and design optimisation activities.
• Review and check drawings and models produced by other designers for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and engineering standards while meeting schedule and budget targets.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a technical qualification in Design Drafting with relevant industrial experience.
• Established experience in engineering design, CAD drafting or project engineering support.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 2D CAD software.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and 3D modelling.
• Clash detection capability.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and produce accurate drawings.
