Materials Planning Analyst

About the role

The Materials Planning Analyst will work closely with supply chain and production teams to develop and execute planning strategies that support Eaton’s business objectives. This role focuses on analyzing material availability, capacity constraints and customer demand to create optimized production schedules while ensuring high service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing procedures that improve the planning function and adhere to standard work.
• Manage work‑in‑process material flow by reviewing reports, identifying constraints and preventing disruptions.
• Support the “Clear to Build” planning strategy and generate weekly production plans that consider multiple scenarios and constraints.
• Collaborate with the Master Scheduler to analyze material and capacity limits, develop alternative schedules and communicate priorities to buyer planners.
• Review daily customer orders, confirm production orders and ensure on‑time delivery (100 % OTD) by issuing and resolving order issues promptly.
• Analyze past‑due production orders, measure aging and drive rescheduling actions.
• Provide first‑line support for invoice holds, special inventory strategies such as VMI and consignment, and other urgent supply‑chain activities.
• Utilize digital tools to create, analyze and present data for internal communication and metric tracking.

Required profile

• Experience in supply‑chain planning, inventory management or production scheduling.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate material availability, capacity constraints and production scenarios.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with production, scheduling and buying teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve order issues quickly.
• Familiarity with Eaton financial standards and policies is advantageous.
