Material Planner (Portugal)

About the role

Forvia Interiors is looking for a Material Planner to join its team in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. The role is responsible for the daily execution of the procurement process for serial materials, ensuring alignment with production schedules, minimum stock levels, and service‑level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities for serial material supply, respecting production plans and SLA targets.
• Monitor plan execution, raise alerts, and manage risks to minimise impact on production.
• Ensure that all plants receive the necessary materials and resources to meet schedule and service goals.
• Manage and optimise inbound and outbound transport flows across road, sea and air, including FTL, LTL and shared loads.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in problem‑solving working groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, transport or supply‑chain management.
• First experience in transport operations or material planning is appreciated.
• Ability to work under time pressure, with strong customer orientation and team spirit.
• Multilingual communication skills (English plus at least one other language).

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP, especially MM, PP and TM modules.
