Master Data Steward (f/m/div.)

About the role

A data steward’s mission is to manage, protect, and maximize the value of an organization’s data assets by ensuring accuracy, accessibility, security, and compliance. In this position you will support Business Analysts on data‑cleansing and migration projects, act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, and help maintain high data quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support Business Analysts on data‑cleansing and migration initiatives and align with user departments.
• Gather, capture, and upload data into databases, including creating and adjusting Excel templates.
• Define and apply data‑quality rules, perform cleansing (completeness, format, consistency) and resolve errors with multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with central departments such as PMD, provide first‑level support, monitor KPIs, and handle second‑level daily operations.
• Create and maintain internal procedures and end‑user documentation, ensuring data‑compliance tasks are fulfilled.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Management or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven hands‑on experience with SAP Master Data, especially in the Material Management (MM) module.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; German is a plus.
• Methodical, structured, quality‑driven approach with strong attention to detail.
• Initiative, reliability, personal accountability and a collaborative team attitude.

Required skills

• SAP Master Data (MM) and SAP ERP (R/3) knowledge.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and complementary modules (SD, FI, CO) is an asset.
• SQL and database fundamentals.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling.
• Core data‑governance principles and data‑quality management tools.
