Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I

About the role

As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician I at Medtronic, you will support lead manufacturing lines, final packaging lines, and sterilization areas, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing and plant equipment.
• Diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using drawings, manuals, and electronic test equipment.
• Maintain maintenance and repair logs and record preventive‑maintenance activities in a CMMS.
• Perform annual validation runs on sterilization equipment.
• Assist in redesigning optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for existing equipment.
• Estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical education preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to complete required EHS and process training.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with PLC programming.
• Pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with CMMS for preventive‑maintenance documentation.
• Basic understanding of optical, vacuum, and electrical systems.
