Manufacturing Engineer – Transition & Standard Work (Remote)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, a business unit of RTX, is seeking a detail‑oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support the transition of work and cold‑start activities. The position is fully remote, but the candidate must reside in Puerto Rico and be a U.S. citizen to access required systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools, templates, and forms for the Work Transitions process.
• Collaborate with process owners to define risk‑management requirements for sourcing changes or manufacturing restarts.
• Review and approve Work Transition and Cold Start documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Evaluate transition exceptions and partner with cross‑functional teams to mitigate risks affecting quality, delivery, and cost.
• Create and deliver complete technical assessment packages for the Global Transitions team.
• Track performance of transitioned work and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship (required for system access).
• Legal residence in Puerto Rico.
• Fluent in written and spoken English for communication with customers and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
