Manager of Events and Experience

About the role

The Manager of Events and Experience will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of all club‑wide events at Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club in Comporta, Portugal. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the member experience, uphold the Discovery Land Company brand, and ensure every gathering reflects the club’s unique vibe.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of club events, private member parties, golf tournaments and special occasions.
• Develop and maintain a master event calendar in partnership with Member Services and Member Experience teams.
• Lead weekly events meetings, coordinate cross‑departmental communication, and manage event budgets.
• Create Banquet Event Orders, critical paths, floor plans, mood boards and timelines for each event.
• Design promotional flyers and materials using Canva.
• Build and nurture relationships with vendors, staffing agencies and suppliers, maintaining a vetted supplier database.
• Drive member engagement, identify catering and revenue opportunities, and ensure exceptional service standards.

• Demonstrated leadership with a focus on culture, inclusivity and continuous improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
