Manager - AI & Data Engineer (Lisbon/Porto)

About the role

At EY you’ll have the chance to build a unique career while delivering cutting‑edge AI and data solutions for clients across Europe West. The role sits in the new Portugal Tech Hub, supporting consulting teams with data platform design, implementation and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Implement end‑to‑end data and AI solutions in client engagement teams, collaborating with Cloud Solution Architects on Microsoft Azure.
• Design and build data and analytics architectures, including data lakes, warehouses and advanced analytics pipelines.
• Collect, aggregate and analyse structured and unstructured data, generate insights and scale data for machine‑learning and AI use cases.

Required profile

• BA/BS or MS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or in progress).
• Minimum 6 + years of professional consulting experience in technology.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data ingestion, cleansing and data modelling.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure Fabric.
• SQL (T‑SQL) and Python programming.
• Big‑data platforms such as Snowflake and Azure Databricks.
• Data governance, data catalog and master data management.
• AI/ML and Generative AI solution design.
• Power BI for reporting.
• DevOps, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum delivery methods.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate and Azure Fundamentals certifications (preferred).
