Maintenance Technician III

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join its Vascular manufacturing facility in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. The role operates on the second shift (1 pm‑9 pm) and supports the reliability of test and measurement equipment used in the production of medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calibrations and preventive maintenance on all test and measurement equipment across manufacturing operations.
• Follow documented procedures and maintenance itineraries to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with quality system requirements.
• Coordinate external calibrations for equipment that cannot be serviced in‑house, working with certified service providers.
• Maintain clear, concise records of maintenance activities, calibration results, and any issues identified.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment problems and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in performing calibrations and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance standards.
• Willingness to work the second shift (1 pm‑9 pm) after training on the first shift.
