Linux Systems Administrator – SRE / Operations Engineer

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join its Operations Engineering team. You will work on critical production systems that support large organisations in banking, insurance, telecom and energy, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot production Linux environments to guarantee reliability.
• Respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Automate deployments and operational tasks using CI/CD pipelines, scripting and configuration management tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise infrastructure, document procedures and provide on‑call support.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Operations Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering or Systems Administration.
• Strong Linux administration skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
• Fluent English with excellent communication abilities.
• Interest in AI tooling, open‑source technologies and modern infrastructure practices.
