Line Product Engineer

About the role

ABB is seeking a Line Product Engineer to support production activities and ensure efficient, cost‑effective execution of engineering tasks across the project. You will work closely with the IPU team, providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and documentation support on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical training to the IPU team.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot daily issues.
• Maintain and create work instructions, rework instructions, quality packaging specifications, and MTD documents.
• Analyze deviations, evaluate alternative materials, and identify materials on the production floor.
• Conduct validation processes, including FFF tests.
• Participate in quality circles and root‑cause analysis.
• Support engineering change implementation and assist the Product Engineer with operative activities.
• Perform line balancing, define routings, and set cycle times.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, equipment, and tools.
• Fluency in English.
• Commitment to ABB’s core values of safety and integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using 2D CAD systems.
• Experience using 3D CAD systems.
