Line Lead – Snack Production

About the role

The Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of three snack production lines. This position ensures safe, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing while driving results through Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and continuous improvement practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations of three snack lines, meeting safety, quality, service, cost, and productivity targets.
• Deploy, sustain, and enhance IWS practices, including Daily Direction Setting, Daily Management Systems, Centerlines, CILs, CLs, and Defect Elimination.
• Manage KPIs, conduct root‑cause analysis, and apply loss‑elimination methodologies.
• Coach and develop frontline teams, fostering ownership, engagement, and accountability.
• Build a strong food‑safety and quality culture, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functions to improve line reliability.
• Lead problem‑solving and continuous‑improvement projects to reduce losses and boost efficiency.
• Facilitate communication within production teams and across departments.
• Contribute to factory‑wide initiatives as a member of the site leadership team.

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in food and beverage.
• Proven track record of leading production teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in Portuguese and proficient in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with operational performance management systems.
• Knowledge of IWS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing or similar continuous‑improvement methodologies.
