Licensed Electrician

About the role

We are seeking a Licensed Electrician to join our baggage handling systems maintenance team. The role involves ensuring safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical equipment in a high‑traffic airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow safe working practices and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures at all times.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain motors, electrical circuits, SICK ATR systems, baggage handling equipment and conveyor systems using hand tools and precision testing instruments.
• Execute emergency and corrective maintenance service calls, document reports and communicate with customers.
• Monitor system performance from the control room, analyse data and propose optimisation improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance, un‑jam conveyors, manage spare‑part requests and conduct inventory counts.
• Develop and maintain service support tools and complete CMMS records, parts usage and warranty documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• PR Master Electrician or Electrician Assistance licence.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Physical ability to lift baggage up to 75 lb and work scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Alan Bradley and DeviceNet control systems.
• Use of CMMS for service reporting.
