Legal Counsel – European Legal Team (Portugal)

About the role

Join a leading multinational pharmaceutical company as a Legal Counsel, reporting to the Europe General Counsel. You will provide commercially focused legal support to the Portuguese manufacturing site and the wider European business, working closely with senior stakeholders across functions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of legal matters affecting manufacturing, commercial, regulatory and compliance activities.
• Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, business development, internal investigations and policy development.
• Provide commercial contracting, regulatory advice, corporate governance and compliance guidance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including quality, operations, finance, HR and commercial functions.

Required profile

• Portuguese qualified lawyer with at least four years post‑qualification experience (private practice or in‑house).
• Full professional proficiency in English and Portuguese.
• Willingness to work full‑time onsite at the office near Sintra.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, life‑sciences or other regulated sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
