About the role
As a Legal Counsel for the EMEA region, you will work under the supervision of senior counsel to provide practical, timely, and commercially‑focused legal support to a global technology business. The role offers regional exposure and the chance to develop expertise in contracting, negotiation, legal operations, and stakeholder management.
Key responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate customer contracts, including master agreements, statements of work, NDAs, LOIs and MOU’s.
- Assist with bids and tenders, preparing contract mark‑ups, risk summaries, approval notes and briefing materials.
- Ensure contractual risks and approval triggers are captured in Nokia’s deal‑approval processes and systems.
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Tax, Procurement, Delivery, Product and other specialist teams to gather inputs and progress matters efficiently.
- Support contract lifecycle activities such as handover summaries, obligation tracking, renewals and record maintenance in contract‑management systems.
- Assist with contract interpretation, pre‑litigation issues, customer claims and disputes, escalating complex matters to senior counsel.
- Contribute to templates, playbooks, guidance, knowledge resources and standard work processes for the regional team.
- Perform legal research and project support using approved digital and AI‑assisted tools.
- When required, support legal entity management and corporate secretarial tasks for EMEA subsidiaries.
Required profile
- Law degree with a strong understanding of commercial contracts and corporate governance.
- Ability to work under supervision while delivering independent, commercially‑oriented advice.
- Excellent stakeholder‑management skills across multiple functional areas.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

- Proficiency with contract‑management systems and digital legal tools.
