Lab Process & Innovation Specialist

About the role

The Lab Process & Innovation Specialist leads end‑to‑end laboratory transformation across two CPSNA sites, applying Lean/Six Sigma, AI and continuous‑improvement methods while preserving GLP, ISO 17025 and data‑integrity standards. The role owns equipment validation, data analytics and cross‑site standardisation to accelerate testing throughput and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead lab transformation projects, facilitate Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping and workflow redesign to reduce turnaround time while maintaining compliance.
• Evaluate, pilot and qualify new laboratory equipment through formal IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and ensure audit‑ready hand‑off to operations.
• Own lab data analytics, build real‑time dashboards from LIMS/SAP, and develop AI‑driven predictive models to support risk‑based testing.
• Standardise testing procedures, technology road‑maps and data practices across Atlanta and Puerto Rico sites.
• Drive change‑management activities, including stakeholder communication, training and post‑implementation adoption tracking.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in a regulated laboratory or manufacturing environment with a focus on process improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, engineering, or data/information systems; Master’s or PMP preferred.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Lean/Six Sigma methodology (Kaizen, value‑stream mapping).
• IQ/OQ/PQ equipment qualification in GLP‑compliant labs.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 accreditation and GLP/GDocP requirements.
• Laboratory informatics – LIMS, SAP integration, real‑time data capture.
• Data analytics – dashboard creation, trending, ALCOA+ data‑integrity principles.
• AI and predictive‑modeling concepts applied to inline testing.
• Technology roadmap development and automation strategy.
