Kotlin Developer – Microservices & Desktop Apps

About the role

We are seeking a Kotlin Developer to join an international insurance project that is modernising a legacy platform using micro‑services. The role combines backend service development with desktop application work, and will be based in Lisbon with a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and desktop application functionality using Kotlin.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and implement micro‑services‑based solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to SOLID and Clean Architecture principles, and produce technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects and support continuous integration.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (desktop) and Java.
• Experience with REST APIs, micro‑services architecture and clean code practices.
• Fluent English (minimum B2).
