About the role
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across all Food and Beverage areas, ensuring compliance with health standards and supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing equipment, clean and sanitize china, glass, and silver, and return items to proper storage.
- Sweep, mop, and organize the kitchen area, including sinks, ice machines, and sanitizing stations.
- Manually wash pots and pans, stock dispensers, and keep tile floors clean.
- Empty trash, keep cans clean, and promptly address spills.
- Follow safety and loss prevention guidelines, attend required meetings and training.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; hotel or related experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lb occasionally and stand for the entire shift.
- Flexible schedule with long hours as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a warm, friendly demeanor.
Required skills
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling.
- Experience operating commercial dishwashers.
- Ability to sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
