Key Account Manager – Pharmaceutical (Portugal)

About the role

This position is for a commercially driven pharmaceutical professional to lead strategic customer engagement within a specialized therapeutic area in Portugal. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute account strategies that expand market access and improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales objectives across assigned key accounts and therapeutic areas.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans aligned with commercial goals.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with healthcare professionals and decision‑makers.
• Analyze patient pathways to identify opportunities for improved treatment access.
• Collaborate with Medical, Market Access and other teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Leverage CRM platforms and data insights to optimise account planning.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, medical, pharmaceutical or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably as a Sales Representative or Key Account Manager.
• Strong understanding of the local healthcare system, reimbursement environment and stakeholder landscape.
• Proven ability to develop strategic account plans and meet ambitious sales targets.
• Fluency in Spanish and good command of English.
