Junior Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer eager to learn new technologies and manage large complex systems. You will help the team provision processes and tools, scale, deploy, run, monitor and manage our products across all environments while collaborating with the product team to automate and streamline operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, install, operate and maintain hardware, software applications and IT infrastructure.
• Manage project deployment lifecycle and oversee live implementation.
• Evaluate product requirements to develop total systems solutions within timelines and cost constraints.
• Design scalable and performant solutions.
• Oversee testing and monitoring of applications and system performance.
• Assist with systems planning, business information analysis and process improvement initiatives.
• Support resolution of systems issues.
• Provide regular reports auditing current services, recent changes and internal practices.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Solid experience with Git and Linux.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Jenkins, Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring tools.
• Experience with virtualization and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Professional English proficiency (written and spoken).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon.
