Junior Hydraulic Design Engineer – Hydraulics & Fire

About the role

The Junior Hydraulic Design Engineer will support the hydraulic design team on large‑scale data‑center projects, covering domestic water, sewage, rainwater drainage, fire‑fighting and fire‑suppression systems (excluding underground works outside the building footprint). The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, client‑facing interactions and adherence to high quality and safety standards under senior guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and specification of hydraulic components and systems for large‑scale projects.
• Develop hydraulic models and drawings using Revit with the MagiCAD plug‑in.
• Create schematic drawings in AutoCAD.
• Perform hydraulic calculations ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Use Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) to manage project stages and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist regulatory compliance reviews and validate designs against standards and client requirements.
• Identify and report non‑compliance, potential budget deviations or delays to senior team members.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects and other engineering disciplines for successful integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in hydraulic, fire‑protection, plumbing or broader MEP design.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and timely delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proactive, collaborative, detail‑oriented and able to stay composed under pressure.

Required skills

• Revit with the MagiCAD plug‑in.

• Hydraulic calculations and modeling.
• Knowledge of relevant hydraulic and fire‑protection standards and regulations.
