Junior Engineer / Data Scientist – Entry Level Role

About the role

Fraudio is seeking recent graduates for a Junior Engineer / Data Scientist position based in Portugal (remote). The role offers a structured pathway from academic theory to real‑scale production in the fintech and fraud‑prevention domain, with mentorship from senior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Support client requests, investigate data or product behavior, and assist with technical configurations.
• Participate in day‑to‑day technical operations and client‑facing activities.
• Develop tools, scripts, and proof‑of‑concepts to enhance product capabilities.
• Contribute to exploratory projects in software engineering, data science, and AI engineering.

Required profile

• Completed Licenciatura in a relevant technical or scientific field.
• Valid Portuguese Social Security Number (NISS) and residence in Portugal.
• Strong analytical mindset and interest in software or AI engineering.
• Comfortable communicating with clients and working autonomously on undefined problems.
• Optional: Spanish language skills or prior customer‑contact experience.

Required skills

What we offer

• 12‑month fixed‑term contract, renewable for an additional year.
• Gross annual salary between €16,000 and €22,000, adjusted for degree level.
