Junior Electrical Engineer - Railway Signalling

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join its railway signalling team. In this early‑career position you will contribute to the design, development and implementation of electrical and signalling systems that keep rail networks safe and efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and development of railway signalling and electrical systems.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, drawings and engineering reports.
• Participate in analysis and review of electrical installations and signalling solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Contribute to testing, validation and commissioning activities when required.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay updated on industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong motivation to work on electrical installation and railway signalling projects.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
