Junior Back End Developer

About the role

VASS is looking for a motivated Junior Back End Developer to join a high‑performing team that builds modern, scalable APIs. You will work with Java and Spring Boot to create RESTful services that support our clients' digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement data persistence with Hibernate/JPA and apply modern Java features for efficient processing.
• Document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
• Write unit tests with JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams following Agile (Scrum/Kanban) practices.
• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Understanding of REST API design and development.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and functional programming concepts.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation.
• Proficiency with Git and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Fluent English.
