Jr/Mid Data Engineer – French Speaker (Hybrid, Lisbon)

About the role

Shore, a Portuguese technology company, is looking for a junior to mid‑level Data Engineer who is fluent in French to join its hybrid team in Lisbon. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing data solutions that support the company’s clients in banking, telecom, health and public sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and stability of existing data solutions.
• Investigate and resolve data and application incidents.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
• Use GCP services, especially BigQuery and Composer, for data processing and orchestration.
• Write Python and SQL scripts for data manipulation and automation.
• Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Work with SSIS and other data‑integration tools.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, testing, troubleshooting and documentation.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Business Intelligence or a related field.
• Good knowledge of GCP, BigQuery, SQL and Python.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and preferably SSIS.
• Experience building Power BI reports.
• Understanding of data pipelines, data quality and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• French language proficiency at B2 level (mandatory) and good English.
