Jira Migration Specialist (Remote Europe)

About the role

Wire IT is looking for a Jira Migration Specialist to lead end‑to‑end migrations of Atlassian environments from Data Center to Cloud. This remote position supports European clients and offers the chance to shape migration strategies for complex, regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing Jira and Confluence setups, including workflows, custom fields, permissions, schemes and integrations.
• Define migration strategy, phases, milestones and rollback plans.
• Execute migrations using JCMA, CCMA, Configuration Manager and bulk import tools.
• Migrate projects, workflows, permission schemes, dashboards, filters and app configurations.
• Validate data quality before, during and after migration.
• Integrate third‑party tools and plugins into the cloud environment.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide post‑migration support.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Jira and/or Confluence migrations (Data Center to Cloud).
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Ownership and autonomy in managing migration workstreams.
• Comfort working in cross‑functional and remote teams.
• Structured, documentation‑driven approach.
