Java Software Engineer

About the role
Act Digital is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join its international development team. You will work on modern backend solutions, building scalable microservices in cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, Java 21 and JPA.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create microservices‑based architectures.
- Ensure reliability, security, performance and scalability of applications.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex defects and production issues.
- Participate actively in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Required profile
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Proactive mindset with ownership of tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent Portuguese and professional proficiency in English.
