About the role
Devoteam is looking for a Java Developer to join its software development team in Porto. You will work on designing and building scalable Java applications that support the company’s digital transformation projects for clients across EMEA.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and debug Java applications following object‑oriented principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and APIs.
- Maintain and enhance existing codebases, integrate third‑party services, and ensure optimal performance.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and estimation, and document technical solutions.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging Java technologies and industry trends.
Required profile
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java with solid understanding of object‑oriented design patterns.
- Experience building enterprise‑level applications and RESTful APIs.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Fluent English, both spoken and written.
