Java Developer – Microservices (Porto)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Developer specialized in microservices to join our Porto team. You will help translate domain models into robust microservice architectures, collaborate with internal API consumers, and integrate external systems using a domain‑driven design approach.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, cloud‑native microservices using Java 17/21.
• Develop RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with internal and external systems.
• Apply CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automated testing to deliver production‑ready solutions.
• Adopt a security‑first mindset throughout the Secure Software Development Life Cycle.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience building Java‑based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17 (preferably Java 21) and microservice patterns.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Fluent English communication skills.
