Java Developer (French) – Banking Sector

About the role

We are looking for a Java Developer to design and develop high‑quality, scalable, and secure Java/Spring applications for the banking sector. You will lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers while ensuring robust, future‑proof solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring applications with a focus on scalability and security.
• Lead code reviews and enforce clean, reliable coding standards.
• Mentor junior developers and promote technical excellence.
• Architect robust solutions aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to deliver effective outcomes.
• Ensure high test coverage through unit and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Optimize application and database performance using profiling techniques.
• Embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging Java/Spring technologies and apply them.
• Document technical specifications and design decisions.
• Contribute to strategic planning and provide technical leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise in Java development with strong proficiency in the Spring ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL optimization, stored procedures (e.g., PL/SQL), and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles.
• Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP web services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployment practices.
• Proficiency in French (written and spoken).
