Java Developer – Banking Sector

About the role

Join Devoteam's multidisciplinary team as a Java Developer focused on the banking sector. You will design, build, and maintain high‑quality Java applications that support our clients' digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best‑practice coding standards.
• Provide continuous‑improvement recommendations and guide junior developers.
• Create scalable architectures aligned with business requirements.
• Collaborate with product teams, designers, and analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write unit tests, ensure adequate test coverage, and maintain code quality.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and bug issues.
• Optimize code performance using profiling and analysis tools.
• Stay current with new Java technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Manage the software lifecycle from conception to production, coordinating releases with minimal impact.
• Implement security best practices throughout development.
• Optimize database interactions with good design and efficient queries.
• Document technical specifications and design decisions clearly.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Java development.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Proven problem‑solving skills for performance and scalability challenges.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.
