Java Developer – Banking Sector (French)

About the role

We are looking for a Java Developer to join our banking‑sector team in Porto. The role requires fluency in French and focuses on building high‑quality, scalable Java/Spring applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring applications with a focus on scalability and security.
• Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Architect robust solutions aligned with business needs and collaborate with product, design, and business teams.
• Ensure high test coverage through unit and integration testing, and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL optimization, PL/SQL, and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automated deployment practices.
• Fluency in written and spoken French.
