IT Systems Administrator

About the role

Fischer Connectors is expanding its new plant in Amarante, Portugal, and seeks an IT Systems Administrator to ensure the reliability and security of its IT infrastructure. You will support daily operations across the Group, handling hardware, software, and network services while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1‑3 IT support to users across the Group.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot workstations, servers and networking equipment.
• Manage hardware and software roll‑outs, special projects and user training.
• Implement and maintain security, backup, disaster‑recovery and acceptable‑use procedures.
• Administer infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Azure, VMware, mailboxes, VPN and Windows applications.
• Document procedures, architecture diagrams and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Participate in IT projects and drive improvements in processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to prioritize incidents and user requests effectively.
• Good communication skills to train users and collaborate with subsidiaries.
