IT Linux System Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Linux System Specialist to ensure the stable operation, integration, and hardening of Linux systems across our data centres and supported sites. You will drive automation, maintain security compliance, and build reliable provisioning pipelines for critical business workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper functionality, integration, and hardening of Linux systems in data‑centre environments.
• Plan and execute lifecycle and patch management using automation tools.
• Build and maintain Linux server images and automation pipelines (IaC, configuration management).
• Troubleshoot and optimise Linux environments for performance, reliability and minimal downtime.
• Perform capacity and performance tuning, and implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
• Document runbooks and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Linux administration experience in enterprise or data‑centre settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Linux system administration (enterprise distributions).
• Automation with Ansible.
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
• Monitoring and visualization using Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK stack.
• Infrastructure as Code and configuration‑management concepts.
• Basic networking and storage knowledge.
