IT Infrastructure & Systems Administrator

About the role

As an IT Infrastructure & Systems Administrator you will join Preh’s growing IT team in Trofa, Portugal. You will be responsible for keeping the company’s Windows and Linux environments stable, secure and performant while supporting hybrid‑cloud services that power automotive innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory, GPOs and hybrid identity (Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Operate VMware and/or Hyper‑V virtualization platforms.
• Support Azure services and Microsoft 365 tenancy.
• Configure and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and VPN connections.
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery procedures and monitor system health.
• Apply security best practices and assist ISO 27001 / TISAX compliance initiatives.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell and basic Bash/Python scripts.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line incident response and document configurations and procedures.
• Perform basic SQL Server administration, backups and access management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in system and infrastructure administration (Windows/Linux, virtualization, networking).
• Strong troubleshooting ability and confidence managing AD, GPOs and cloud services.
• Proactive, growth‑mindset and able to communicate with technical and non‑technical teams.
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Azure, VMware, ITIL) are a plus.
